Why bother making QA magical?
First, we believe that QA (testing) is an important unsolved problem that should be solved.
As a space QA has been underestimated by many.
Yes it is a hard problem and a tough space. Yes there are many solutions.
And yet, teams today spend billions of hours on QA. One study estimates that engineers spend 70% of their time dealing with bugs. This leaves few hrs in a day on innovation.
Imagine how much more we could build if we cut that time by 50%?
And if time between finding and fixing a bug increases (it does) - the cost to fix also increases. Rivers are easiest to cross at the source.
Next, we believe that the builders of the future will require QA (and other services) to be solved.
The size of the average firm is shrinking: from agriculture to industrial to tech and now to LLM revolution. It is taking fewer people to produce a unity of output.
Unicorns of the future will be built by team of <10 people.
These teams will be small. They will be powered by co-pilots. There will be millions of them. And they will focus on creative work, on features, on growth, on innovation. Not on dev-ops tasks.
These teams will be powered by an agentic layer handling QA, insights, operations, analytics.
We will spend the next decade building this service layer. And we are starting with QA today
